I was just watching a video review of the iPad Pro, and they had the gold version. Something that's aiming to be a professional tool comes in gold, let that sink in. I felt like I was watching someone using a gold hammer.
My vote goes to using a gold color option to make tech tools and gadgets (that are inherently disposable) seem more luxurious and high end. It's the tackiest thing for me.
So anything from hardware to software, from shallow to serious, from consumer to prosumer technology, what do you think are the worst trends at the moment?
