Backstory- Went to trade in my sons Wii U and Skylanders Collection a while ago as he decided to upgrade to a XboxOne. Go through all of the Skylanders and we decide not to trade it in. When leaving I accidentally left all of the Skylanders pads sitting on the counter and left. My son was heart broken and for the life of me I couldn't figure out where they went.
Fast forward to August and my son gets very sick. He started with pneumonia, went to double lung pneumonia and they a pleural effusion. He began to get better after weeks in the hospital and then was hit with the flu. He had fallen very far behind in school and was very disheartened by his grades.
We went to GameStop tonight as he has just returned to school and he received a 98 on his math test. We went originally to get a new Lego game he could play with us. When we arrived I asked the guys working about the pods, not being to optimistic, and to my amazement they said they knew I came to their store often and stored them in the back for me. The same two guys helped me pick out games that my son and I could play while he was in the hospital and remembered what he had been going through. A few minutes later Jacob and Donald game over to me and told me that they were giving my son the new Skylanders Imaginators because they were so happy to see him doing better. My son was absolutely blown away. I nearly had tears in my eyes at this point.
My son has been through a lot and he loves gaming. This has turned his world right side up. Jacob and Donald made my son so happy that is immeasurable. Their kindness and their professionalism is the reason that I exclusively use this store. They are what is right in this world.
Jacob and Donald, if you see this, thank you so much. You will never know how much this father and son appreciate this kindness.
PS: My son says he loves yall and he would "literally do anything he could for you guys. we are like best bros"
TL;DR - Son has been sick. Gamestop employees Jacob and Donald remember that he has been sick and gift him the new Skylanders game he has waiting for Christmas to get.
